The Ranch at Laguna Beach has been rated as a AAA Four Diamond hotel by the Automobile Club of Southern California.  This is the first time the hotel has attained this designation.  Hotels at this level employ experienced, highly-qualified staff to provide the custom service luxury hotel guests expect, according to AAA.  These establishments deliver unmatched guest comfort with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and detail.

Just 6.1 percent of 27,000 hotels evaluated by AAA receive the AAA Four Diamond rating, according to the Auto Club, and California boasts the most AAA Four Diamond hotels with 173.

The coveted AAA Four Diamond Award is presented to hotel general managers and restaurant executive chefs to recognize the award-winning properties, inspected by AAA and the Auto Club, the nation’s largest AAA affiliate.

“AAA is pleased to recognize The Ranch at Laguna Beach for earing the AAA Four Diamond rating,” said Patricia Marenco of the Auto Club’s Approved Accommodations Dept. “To maintain the exceptional standards required for this rating every day is an outstanding achievement.  AAA Four Diamond establishments are attentive to guests needs and consistently deliver memorable travel and dining experiences,” she added.

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is nestled in the Aliso and Wood Canyons.  The land, where canyon and sea meet, has been re-envisioned and is now home to the boutique coastal ranch resort.  Spread over 87 acres, The Ranch LB offers 97 guest rooms and suites reflecting the cultural history of the iconic beach community.  The resort also features a golf course, restaurants, dolphin safaris, yoga, stargazing, and sand volleyball and bocce ball courts.

The Ranch at Laguna Beach is located at 31106 S. Coast Highway, Laguna Beach, Calif., 92651.

AAA’s Diamond rating program is the only hotel and restaurant review system in the nation that uses specially trained full-time AAA Inspectors who collectively visit thousands of establishments every week. The Auto Club’s inspectors review Southern California establishments without prior notification using objective rating procedures.

To achieve the AAA Four Diamond rating, hotels must be “refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail,” according the AAA Diamond rating guidelines.

Travelers can find Diamond Rated establishments in AAA trip planning products: the AAA Mobile® app for tablets and smartphones, the desktop and mobile versions of the TripTik® Travel Planner  online mapping and routing tool, searchable Travel Guides on AAA.com and AAA TourBook® guides available to members at AAA/CAA offices.
