Falcon Towing in Gardena has been named the Auto Club of Southern California’s Top Service Provider of the Year for 2023, while Johnathan’s Towing in Escondido was awarded Top Battery Service Provider of the Year.
The awards were announced at the Auto Club’s annual service awards event held today at the Hyatt Regency in Orange County. They are based on outstanding member service performance, involvement with Auto Club programs and initiatives, and community leadership.
The Auto Club also honored top technicians of the year in three categories, based on their high membership satisfaction and customer service ratings:
- Brent Holmes of California Roadside Service in Brea was named Technician of the Year
- Samer Gabola of Johnathan’s Towing in Escondido was named Battery Technician of the Year
- Nader Mozaffari of Surfside Lock & Key in Irvine was named Locksmith Technician of the Year
The Auto Club added a new category of awards this year to honor service providers that promote awareness of tow operator safety practices and Slow Down Move Over legislation that protects the lives of technicians and stranded members. On average, every other week in the United States, an emergency responder is struck and killed while rendering aid. It is the Auto Club’s goal to reduce deaths and injuries to roadside workers through advocacy and roadside safety training. This year the following service providers were recognized for their outstanding promotion of safe roadside practices:
- California Towing in El Cajon
- Freeway Towing in Monterey Park
- Oxnard Towing in Oxnard
In addition, the Auto Club recognized 24 service providers with the prestigious Five Diamond Club roadside service award for earning an “Excellent Rating” in three categories during 2023: overall satisfaction, service driver satisfaction and satisfaction with response time. These service providers comprise the top six percent of a network of about 400 service providers in the 13 southern counties in California.
A second award, the Diamond Club award, was presented to 71 Auto Club roadside provider companies that exceeded standards in all measured areas for the entire year.
“Roadside emergency service is at the core of what makes an Auto Club membership so valuable, and our highly qualified network of independent roadside service providers is essential to accomplishing our mission of helping our members,” said Auto Club Vice President of Automotive Services Nannalee Haywood. “These service providers we are recognizing today represent the best of all those who provide our members with the highest level of caring and professional assistance.”
