Auto Club Driving School Offers Limited-Time Discount In West LA, Other Selected Locations
(WEST LOS ANGELES, Oct. 7, 2008) - The Automobile Club of Southern California is now registering students for its teen driving school location in West Los Angeles. Beginning this week for the Thursday, Oct. 9, class and continuing through the end of the year, the school's "30/10" program (30 hours of classroom education and 10 hours of in-car instruction) is available at a $100 discount when members sign up by Dec. 31. The discount is also being offered at other selected Auto Club Driving School locations.
As part of the special limited-time offer, students who complete the class will also receive a free copy of AAA's DriversZed, an interactive DVD that helps teens to understand and mitigate risk, as well as the Auto Club's new 16-page teen driver guide, "When You're Ready for the Road."
The "30/10" discount is offered in recognition of the upcoming National Teen Driver Safety Week, Oct. 19-25. The discount also is available at the Anaheim, Diamond Bar, Encino, Escondido, Long Beach and San Diego locations. A variety of programs are available at all 18 Auto Club driving school sites.
The driving school uses a curriculum based on research of teen driving crashes. The licensed program is taught by state-licensed instructors who are trained by the Auto Club. The curriculum is focused on safety and student participation with core elements designed to address the top four causes of teen collisions. Parents and teens attend a one-hour orientation together on the first night of class. After that, students continue attending class, and parents stay tuned in through feedback and coaching after each in-car lesson. "Many parents tell us they're learning right along with their kids," said Kathy Downing, manager of the Auto Club's Driver Services.
"The Auto Club offers the driver education program to help parents and teens successfully navigate the Graduated Driver Licensing laws and become safe drivers," said Downing.
Students who successfully complete one of the Auto Club Driving School programs also receive a free dependent associate Auto Club membership and may qualify for a car insurance discount when added to an auto insurance policy through the Auto Club's affiliated insurance company.
The Auto Club's West Los Angeles office is located at 1900 So. Sepulveda Blvd., 90025. For more information or to enroll, contact the Auto Club by calling toll-free, 1-877-428-2277. Registration and advance payment are required. The Auto Club Driving School is sponsored by Enterprise-Rent-A-Car.
