(LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30, 2008) – Those attending the Los Angeles County Fair through Sept. 28 had the chance to win an iPod at the Automobile Club of Southern California’s booth by guessing the cost to repair the damaged vehicle that was on display. The actual cost to repair the damaged Chevy Camaro was $7,205.90.
The Auto Club sponsors booths at regional fairs, including the LA County Fair, to provide information on the organization’s automotive, travel and insurance products and services. The booth display also included the Auto Club-sponsored Funny Car driven by NHRA racer Robert Hight.
Each week of the fair, visitors submitted entries to win an iPod by guessing the repair cost of the damaged vehicle. Each week’s winner was determined by the entry that came closest to the actual repair cost.
