(CARLSBAD, Aug. 18, 2009) – The Automobile Club of Southern California will host a member appreciation day during back-to-school shopping season on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Carlsbad Premium Outlets, 5620 Paseo del Norte.
The first 150 Auto Club members to bring their valid membership card to the Auto Club display booth in Center Court will receive a free VIP souvenir tote bag.
Auto Club members are eligible for special savings at participating outlet stores with a VIP Coupon Book that will be available at the Auto Club booth. In addition, they can take advantage of the new Show Your Card & Save discount with Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Factory Store, located at the Center and now providing 10 percent member discounts on all merchandise, including sale items.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., two professional racecars will also be on display in Center Court: the Auto Club-sponsored No. 77 Penske Racing Dodge Charger driven by Sam Hornish, Jr. in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and the NHRA Funny Car driven by Robert Hight of John Force Racing, also sponsored by the Auto Club.
Members and non-members can sign up to be eligible for prize giveaways, no purchase necessary. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Auto Club representatives will be on hand to assist with travel or insurance questions, as well as provide information about the benefits of Auto Club membership.
Also, Samsonite Company Store will provide travel packing demonstrations at the booth to help vacationers prepare for their trips. Other Show Your Card & Save participating businesses, including Fetch! Pet Care, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo’s Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld San Diego and SEA LIFE™ Aquarium next to LEGOLAND California will also be providing information about their member discounts.
