CA GAS WATCH

Heading toward the end of the year, Southern California gas prices continue to slide downward and are now at their lowest November levels since 2020, according to the Auto Club’s Weekend Gas Watch. The average price for self-serve regular gasoline in California is $4.48, which is four cents lower than a week ago and the lowest level of this year. The average national price is $3.08, which is two cents lower than a week ago.

The average price of self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles-Long Beach area is $4.48 per gallon, which is three cents less than last week and 67 cents less than last year. In San Diego, the average price is $4.53, which is three cents lower than last week and 67 cents lower than this time last year.

On the Central Coast, the average price is $4.50, which is four cents lower than last week and 65 cents lower than last year. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $4.33, which is three cents lower than last week and 66 cents lower than a year ago. In Bakersfield, the $4.44 average price is five cents less than last week and 77 cents lower than a year ago today.

“Oil Price Information Service reports that the switch to ‘winter blend’ gasoline and lower-than-expected demand are continuing to push down pump prices locally,” said Auto Club spokesperson Doug Shupe. “Today, Hawaii and California are the only two states with average gas prices above $4 a gallon.”

The Weekend Gas Watch monitors the average price of gasoline. As of 9 a.m. on Nov.14, averages are:
