Chris Olvera, a Santa Barbara native, has been named the new manager of the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Santa Barbara branch.
Olvera has worked for the Automobile Club of Southern California for more than nine years in a variety of professional roles in Los Angeles and Orange counties, Lompoc, Honolulu and San Diego.
“I’m looking forward to returning to my hometown of Santa Barbara and rejoining the community. As a Santa Barbara native, it’s a true homecoming. I’m excited to join the Santa Barbara team which has been delivering quality service and serving our members since 1915,” Olvera said.
“Along with the local branch team, I’m also excited to be presenting the AAA Travel Show to the community later this month,” he added.
The AAA Travel Show at the Auto Club’s Santa Barbara branch will be held from 11 .m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. More than 10 cruise and tour vendors covering domestic and international locations will share information with AAA members as well as the public. There is no charge to attend. The Santa Barbara branch, located at 3712 State St., is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Services include: the full-service AAA Travel Agency; auto, homeowner, watercraft and life insurance; selected DMV services; member discount tickets for movies and top California attractions; and assistance with trip planning and automotive needs.
Along with his duties as the Santa Barbara branch manager, Olvera will continue to manage and oversee the Lompoc branch at 675 North H Street.
