The certification means the repair facilities met the Automobile Club of Southern California's strict AAA-Approved Auto Repair Program criteria for technician certification and customer satisfaction. Auto Club Approved shops also offer a wide range of automotive services and are equipped with the high-tech equipment needed to repair today's sophisticated vehicles.
"The Approved Auto Repair program examines all aspects of a repair shop's operation and approves only the best shops in the business," said Richard Kretsch, the Auto Club’s Group Manager of Automotive Services, which includes the AAA-Approved Auto Repair Program. "Typically, only one out of three shops we evaluate receives certification approval on the first attempt."
Any motorist can look to the Auto Club's Approved Auto Repair logo as an assurance of the facility's reliability, but Auto Club members get added benefits from approved repair shops.
These benefits are listed on an Auto Club poster displayed in every Auto Club–approved shop. They include free inspections when a member's vehicle is in the shop for any paid repair and a minimum 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. Auto Club members also get guaranteed written estimates, return of replaced parts on request and Auto Club-mediated repair dispute–arbitration.
