AAA Travel Hosts a Hawaii Info Night with Pleasant Holidays
(SANTA MONICA, February 21, 2006) — When people consider Hawaii, thoughts of white sand beaches may spring to mind. Or perhaps they think of world-class restaurants and night clubs. But these are only two of hundreds of things to do and explore from snorkeling underwater reefs, discovering Hawaii's regal past or teeing up at many of the islands' world-class golf courses. Whatever a traveler's pleasure, Hawaii has it.
For one special night, Pleasant Holidays and AAA Travel located in the Santa Monica office of the Automobile Club of Southern California host a Hawaii Travel Show, Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at 6:30 p.m.–8 p.m.
"Despite visits by millions of tourists every year, the islands have not been ruined by tourism," said Diana Price, manager of the Auto Club's Santa Monica office. "Resort development is concentrated into surprisingly small regions — Waikiki is the classic example, holding half the state's hotel rooms in just two square miles — and it's always possible to venture off into pristine wilderness, or to camp on the seashore or mountainside."
