Historical Resources for Media
The Automobile Club of Southern California was founded on Dec. 13, 1900 by ten "horseless carriage" enthusiasts in Los Angeles. Beginning in 1909 through its member magazine (now called Westways), the Auto Club documented the growth and development of Southern California with its cover and editorial art as well as photographs. The Auto Club's private archives are home to thousands of images and documents from Southern California history.
