(LOS ANGELES, May 6, 2011) – The Automobile Club of Southern California honored independent roadside service providers today for outstanding customer service during 2010, including L.A. Tow in Los Angeles, recognized as Service Provider of the Year. The Service Provider of the Year is selected based on a number of criteria including outstanding member service performance, contributions to the Auto Club programs and initiatives and community leadership.
The Auto Club also honored 10 other service providers with the prestigious Five Diamond roadside service award for earning an “Excellent Rating” in overall satisfaction, service driver satisfaction and satisfaction with response time throughout 2010. These 10 service providers comprise the top 2% of network of more than 400 service providers in the 13 southern most counties in the state.
The third level of award, the Service Pro award, is presented to Auto Club roadside providers that exceed standards in all measured areas for the entire year. Only 15% of the stations qualified for the prestigious award.
In addition, Ted Alva, Jr. of Bitetto Tow and Service Center in Ontario was honored as Technician of the Year.
The Service Pro honors were given at the Auto Club’s annual service awards luncheon held at the Hilton Pasadena. The theme of the awards luncheon this year was “Quest for the Best.” Keynote speaker was Chip Eichelberger, motivational speaker and author who formally worked for Tony Robbins.
“Members turn to the Auto Club during their time of need, and it’s imperative to have excellent service providers who can come to their rescue and get them back on the road. Our honorees are a great example of companies that go above and beyond to take care of AAA members and their automotive needs,” said Auto Club Vice President of Automotive Services David Lang.
“The Auto Club’s tow contractors continue to demonstrate that they’re industry leaders,” added Lang. “Today we recognize the exemplary service, professionalism and dedication that the Auto Club’s independent contract station owners provide day-in and day-out in service to our members.”
