Auto Club Combines Convenience of Internet with Expertise of Travel Agents in Virtual Travel Show

(LOS ANGELES – March 4, 2010) – Several thousand Southern California consumers have discovered the convenience of large-scale travel shows in recent weeks, flocking to shows sponsored by the Automobile Club of Southern California in Los Angeles, San Diego and Pomona. On Tuesday, March 9, the Auto Club will offer another travel show that is convenient to consumers no matter where they live – an online “virtual” travel show that will feature destination information, deals and the expertise of AAA Travel Agents.
 
The free “Summer Sales Event” virtual travel show will take place online from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. PST on Tuesday, March 9. To participate, pre-register online. Check the information on hardware/software requirements to make sure you will be able to stream the show on your computer.
 
Participating travel providers and attractions include Universal Orlando’s The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™; Trafalgar Tours ; Disney Vacations; Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection; Pleasant Holidays; and major cruise lines including Holland America and Royal Caribbean.
 
Several presentations are scheduled for live webcasting, enabling audience members to ask questions. Those webcasts will also be available for later playback.
 
In addition, AAA Travel Agents from several of the Auto Club’s 75 Southern California branch offices will be standing by live to answer questions and make reservations.
 
Several showtime deals with discounts and/or benefits will be available for those who book a trip during the show, and AAA members receive additional benefits and/or discounts on select travel packages.
