(San Gabriel/Pasadena, Jan. 14, 2005) — San Gabriel Service Center, owned by Sam Simonian, has earned certification by the Automobile Club of Southern California's Approved Auto Repair Program.
The certification means the independent repair facility, at 730 E. Las Tunas Drive, met the Auto Club's strict criteria for technician certification and customer satisfaction. Auto Club–approved shops also offer a wide range of automotive services and are equipped with the high-tech equipment needed to repair today's sophisticated vehicles.
"The Approved Auto Repair program examines all aspects of a repair shops operation and awards approval to only the best shops in the business," said Richard Kretsch, manager of the Auto Club's Approved Auto Repair Program and Vehicle Inspection Services. "Typically, only one out of three shops we evaluate earn approval on the first attempt."
Any motorist can look to the Auto Club's Approved Auto Repair logo as an assurance of the facility's reliability, but Auto Club members get extra benefits from approved shops.
These benefits are listed on an Auto Club poster displayed in every Auto Club–approved shop. They include free inspections when a member's vehicle is in the shop for any paid repair and a minimum 12-month/12,000 mile warranty. Auto Club members also get guaranteed written estimates, return of replaced parts on request and Auto Club–mediated repair dispute arbitration.
