The Automobile Club of Southern California is a not-for-profit service organization founded by 10 auto enthusiasts on December 13, 1900.
The Auto Club’s 77 district offices serve the following 13 counties: Inyo/Mono, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare and Ventura. 
More than 6 million Southern Californians are members of the Auto Club.
Services provided to Auto Club members include 24-hour roadside assistance; auto, life, homeowners/condo, renters, boat and personal watercraft, small business, collector vehicle and personal umbrella insurance; travel agency, including exclusive AAA tour and cruise discounts and auto travel planning; credit cards; automotive pricing and buying; oversight of independently inspected and approved automotive maintenance services; highway and transportation programs; and legislative advocacy.
The Auto Club’s headquarters is located at 2601 S. Figueroa St. (at Adams Boulevard) in Los Angeles, CA 90007.
The Auto Club is a member of the AAA, a not-for-profit federation of motor clubs with more than 1,100 offices serving 49 million members in the United States and Canada. More than 1,000 accredited, full-service AAA travel agency offices serve members and the public. AAA Travel services also are accessible via AAA.com.
AAA’s independently inspected and approved network of repair facilities includes 7,800 AAA-Approved Auto Repair facilities.
AAA members receive discounts and benefits at thousands of locations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and the Far East. Local merchant partners and national brand partners participate in global Show Your Card & Save program at more than 150,000 locations throughout the world. AAA members saved more than $510 million worldwide in 2005 through the program.
